In Defense of the Bill Gates / Jerry Seinfeld Ad #2

Say what you like about the new Bill Gates /Jerry Seinfeld ads, I have to approve Bill's choice of bedtime reading. He's reading from Section 18.2 of Code Complete 2. (It's about 1:10 into the video.)

I thought I was the only person who read Code Complete 2 aloud to put their kids to sleep!

Code Complete is a great bed-time book. I always manage to put myself to sleep in under ten minutes ;)

Actually, I read it to my daughter a couple of times, when she was late with bedtime.  She is believes Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development will really help her by the time she hits Grade Six.

Duncan: Continuous Integration? Are you sure you've read Code Complete?

@Jeroen:  Maybe Code Complete isn't the only book that Duncan has read to his daughter at bedtime?  Since he's had to read it to her a couple of times, she is probably chronically late with bedtime.  If that's case then Jeroen probably needs to change up the reading material, just for his own sake.
